Will this be enough for one person to use at home as a primary filtered water supply?
Customers must keep in mind that this is only a 1 Qt (,95 Liters/ .25 Gallons) system and would support only one person on a daily basis.
Do the Go Berkey filter out pesticides and heavy metals?
Berkey Water Filter can remove chloramines, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, heavy metals, and other harmful elements in the water. Bisphenol-A, which is a common endocrine disruptor found in PET plastic bottles was removed to greater than 99.9% when bottled water was poured out into the Berkey.
Does the Go Berkey filter out fluoride?
NO. Go Berkey does not filter out fluoride and is not compatible with Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements.
How long does it take to filter one gallon?
One hour. the Go Berkey Kit can filter up to one gallon (3.8 liters) of purified drinking water per hour.
Does the Go Berkey have a separate filter for this feature, being that it is so small?
Go Berkey has only One Black Berkey Purification Element (upper chamber)

Go Berkey Kit upper and lower chambers measure 10" in Diameter.
How do you store Berkey when traveling?
If you plan to leave the system unused for a period longer than 5 days such as a trip or vacation, it's best to empty both reservoirs and leave them upside-down in the dish rack to dry. Remove your Black Berkey Elements, place them in baggies, and put them in the refrigerator.
Do the filter elements need to be dried?
If you are traveling with the Go Berkey Kit make sure your filters are dried out, remove the element and the chambers are empty!
