The NSF Ultra Sterasyl™ ceramic serves as the foundational ceramic shell for the Super Sterasyl™ filter element. Consequently, this filter element offers, at the very least, the filtration advantages of the Sterasyl™ ceramic. Moreover, the ceramic shell's core is packed with granular activated carbon, enhancing the filter's ability to reduce chlorine and organic chemicals while enhancing the color, taste, and odor of the source water. The Super Sterasyl™ filter elements effectively eliminate suspended solids and diminish organic chemicals, organic solvents, trihalomethanes, VOCs, and unpleasant tastes and odors. To prevent potential leakage, the top of the NSF Super Sterasyl™ element is sealed with a distinctive ceramic dome, eliminating the risk of breach associated with filtration elements sealed with plastic caps.
